"I was scheduled to fly in to San Antonio to meet with a builder. The person canceled on me at the last minute and Tim agreed to meet with me last minute. Many builders take your work and do not show up. Tim's crew always showed up."
Lucenda B. · Home Remodeling
"These guys were great!!! They did an exceptional job. Very friendly and knowledgeable! I would totally recommend them for any groundwork you need done!"
John B. · Land Leveling and Grading
"I highly recommend working with Tim and his crew. They exceeded my expectations in work quality, professionalism, and value. They were also amazing with the cleanup and leaving my property cleaner than it was before. They poured a new concrete patio and step in my backyard as well as repaired some siding on my house. I am beyond happy with the results."
Brandy H. · Concrete Installation

Red iron vs. post-frame — which one fits

Red iron (welded steel I-beam) is the heavy-duty choice — 50+ year life, handles wide clear spans (60'+), and the standard for shops, barndominiums, and any building you're putting living space in. Post-frame (pole barn, wood columns with metal cladding) costs less, goes up faster, and works great for hay barns, equipment cover, and basic storage. I'll match the structure to what you're actually using it for.

Turn-key — slab through finish-out coordination

Most metal building suppliers sell you the kit and walk away. I do the whole package: pad and engineered slab, anchor bolts placed to spec, building erection, roll-up and walk doors, windows, gutters, and trim. For barndominiums I coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC subs so the rough-in lands before you finish the interior. One contract, one schedule, one person to call.

Sizing and options that matter

Eave height drives what you can put inside — 12' for trucks and RVs, 14–16' for car lifts or RV with rooftop AC, 10' for living space. Doors: 12'x14' for RV bays, 10'x10' for shops, 8'x8' for compact storage. Insulation: spray foam on the underside of the roof keeps a Texas shop usable in summer. Spec it once, right, before the slab is poured.

Permits and engineering

Most counties in our area require engineered drawings stamped by a Texas PE for any building over a certain size. Building suppliers provide these as part of the kit. I pull the permit, schedule inspections, and hand you the closed-out paperwork at the end.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a metal building cost?
Turn-key (pad, slab, building erected, basic doors): $35–$60 per square foot for a standard 30x40 to 50x80 shop. Barndominium shells (insulated, ready for interior finish-out): $55–$90/sq ft. Storage-only post-frame: $20–$35/sq ft.
How long does it take to build?
Pad and slab: 1–2 weeks. Steel delivery and erection: 1–3 weeks once on site. Doors, trim, gutters: 1 week. Total turn-key: roughly 6–10 weeks from contract to keys for a typical shop.
Can you do barndominium finish-out?
I do the shell and coordinate the rough-ins. For interior finish-out (drywall, kitchen, baths, flooring) I either subcontract or hand off to a finish builder, depending on the project. We'll talk through the right approach for your build.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. I pull the permit using the engineered drawings from your building supplier, schedule the inspections, and give you the final closed-out paperwork.
Can I add to an existing metal building?
Often yes — lean-to additions, second roll-up doors, expanded slabs out front, or a second bay tied into the existing structure. We'd evaluate the existing engineering before quoting.
