"I highly recommend working with Tim and his crew. They exceeded my expectations in work quality, professionalism, and value. They were also amazing with the cleanup and leaving my property cleaner than it was before. They poured a new concrete patio and step in my backyard as well as repaired some siding on my house. I am beyond happy with the results."
Brandy H. · Concrete Installation
"I was scheduled to fly in to San Antonio to meet with a builder. The person canceled on me at the last minute and Tim agreed to meet with me last minute. Many builders take your work and do not show up. Tim's crew always showed up."
Lucenda B. · Home Remodeling
"Tim did a fantastic job installing my garage shelving in a timely manner. He is knowledgeable and trustworthy to work with. I highly recommend him for any type of job. I'll be using his skills again with future projects."

James Hardie fiber cement — why it's the local favorite

Hardie holds up to Texas sun, doesn't burn, doesn't feed termites, and carries a 30-year non-prorated warranty. ColorPlus factory-finished planks come in baked-on colors that don't fade for 15+ years. The install is the variable — Hardie has strict instructions on nail placement, gap spacing, and flashing. Done wrong, the warranty voids. I install to spec.

Vinyl, wood, and engineered options

Vinyl is the budget option — fast install, no painting, decent 20–25 year life. Modern vinyl (.044 thickness or better) doesn't look cheap if you pick a good profile. Real cedar siding is gorgeous on craftsman and Hill Country homes but needs staining every 4–6 years. LP SmartSide is engineered wood — looks like real wood, primed and ready for paint, and it's lighter and easier to install than Hardie at a similar price point.

What's behind the siding matters

When I tear off old siding, I check the sheathing, house wrap, and any visible framing. Soft spots get cut out and replaced. New house wrap (Tyvek or equivalent) goes on before the new siding. Window and door flashing gets redone if it wasn't right before. That's how you stop water from getting into your walls — not just by hanging new boards over old problems.

Repair vs. full replacement

If 70%+ of your siding is original and showing damage — splits, paint failure, soft spots — full replacement is usually the call. If it's localized (one wall after a tree limb, rotted boards near a leaky gutter), targeted repair is fine and saves you tens of thousands. I'll show you exactly what's wrong before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does new siding cost in San Antonio?
James Hardie runs roughly $11–$16 per square foot installed. Vinyl $5–$9. LP SmartSide $9–$13. Cedar $12–$18. A typical 2,000 sq ft home with Hardie is $22,000–$32,000.
How long does a re-side take?
A typical single-story home is 5–8 working days. Two-story 8–12 days. Weather can extend that — we don't install in heavy rain.
Will you paint new Hardie?
If you want ColorPlus pre-finished, no painting needed and color is warranted. If you want to choose your own paint, we install primed Hardie and paint after install with exterior-grade acrylic.
Can you replace just the rotted boards?
Yes. We pull just the damaged sections, replace the bad sheathing if any, install matching siding, and blend the paint. Common after roof leaks, gutter failures, or sprinkler damage.
What about soffit, fascia, and trim?
We replace soffit and fascia in matching Hardie or PVC trim, repaint to match, and re-attach gutters. Usually quoted as part of the same project.
